Abstract

This research was conducted in Kabaru location of Nyeri county. The research sought to improve small scale farmer involvement in snow peas production in Kabaru location by linking snow peas production to high living standards, this was hypothesized to encourage more farmers to venture into the enterprise. The research also sought to increase snow peas production by the farmers who had currently adopted snow peas production by comparing their gross margins per unit piece of land with the gross margins of those farmers that had adopted best farming practices such use of fertilizers and other inputs. The project in addition collected and analyzed data on snow peas production and used this data to determine the factors that were most likely to affect snow peas production in the location.
